Peer Magnus

He grew up in Vienna and was already as a child fascinated of languages. He decided to study Scandinavian at the University of Vienna, among other things because of his Swedish roots he learned Swedish and Danish. However, his greatest passion became the universal language of music. Parallel to his studies at the University of Vienna, he studied electric bass and double bass at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna with Willi Langer and Gina Schwarz and took additional classes in “second instrument guitar” (Peter Legat, Martin Kelner). Besides the studies, he not only gained experience as a teacher for Swedish, but also as an instrumental teacher for guitar and bass. Soon after completing his studies in Scandinavian, he devoted himself entirely to music.

His career led him through many musical worlds. In addition to being an active teacher, he is an active freelance musician in a variety of ensembles that testify to his musical diversity:

Feitel (medieval-inspired bagpipe rock), Shimmy Two Times (jazz / party and dance music), DaHonk (Reggae / Rock), Sheyla Jamz (Soul / Hip-Hop / R’n’B) and Erwyn (Bluegrass).
